YOUNG OLD GOOD BAD

I think that Hawthorne wrote "Young Goodman Brown" because he wanted his audience to see what the mind was capable of creating. He wanted us to see that not everything is as it seems but completely and totally different. It's about looking at something from a whole new perspective. I think that Stephen King was affected by this because he saw the truth behind this story. He saw the damage that certain people can leave behind. He realized anyone can hurt you and leave open wounds.

 Like we discussed in class with Dr. Preston I don't believe we fully have freedom of speech. In class Dr. Preston mentioned certain phrases that we aren't allowed to say. An example would be if someone were to threaten the president of the United States and someone important were to be listening to them then they would receive a visit from the secret service. QUESTION 1: What is this class about? ANSWER: This is an American Literature class (English class).  Dr. Preston teaches English from a different perspective.
